The Catalan Association of Facility Management (ACFM) and Advanced Factories organized the session "The role of the Facilty Manager in industry 4.0. How has technology transformed this function?" last Thursday, April 11 at 4:30 p.m..
It was moderated by Manuel Járrega, President of the ACFM, and was attended by prominent experts such as Raúl Gómez de Ávila Martínez, Head of Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Iberia at Bayer, Gabriel Rocafort Sánchez, Business Development Director at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS), Conchita Pedrós de Villamore, Senior Facilities Manager at CEAL9, and Carlos Valera Cavaller, CEO of MYC FACILITY INDUSTRIAL.
This session was focussed on Facility Management as a discipline that optimizes NON Core Business operations in built spaces, therefore in the industry as well and is called to have a increasing space in order to optimize the operations of industries.
The fundamental role of FMs in the integration of IoT systems, predictive maintenance, energy management and cybersecurity in industrial infrastructures was analyzed. A session that provided valuable information on how these professionals are leading the adoption of innovative practices to optimize the functionality, security and performance of facilities in the era of Industry 4.0.
